Roof racks expose gear to cold winds and reduce vehicle clearance. Hitch racks keep gear low but risk road salt and slush. Which mount better protects expensive skis during winter travel?

Electric coolers vary widely in performance depending on technology. Thermoelectric units are great for short trips, but they struggle in hot climates. Compressor coolers cost more but behave like real refrigerators, even with outside temperatures over 85°F (29°C). While choosing at 12V car cooler, think about your destination climate first. A cooler that works “fine indoors” may fail in desert or beach heat.
