I've been reading a bit about driving in different countries, but Cyprus seems unique. For someone coming from Europe or the US, what should we know about the local driving culture, road habits, and any quirks that might be surprising when renting a car there? Any tips for adapting quickly would be really helpful.

Oh, I’ve actually rented a car in Larnaca a few times, and I can say the local driving style is a bit more relaxed than in many northern European countries, but still safe if you stay alert. When you rent a car in Larnaca without credit card, I found this guide helpful https://roscarlarnaca.com/. It explains how to handle local road rules, signage, and tips for tourists so you can feel comfortable navigating around Cyprus without stress. I also learned that roundabouts and narrow streets in older towns can be tricky at first, but once you get used to them, it’s quite easy to explore the island.
