Our company was tasked with reconstructing the central part of the city's underground infrastructure. The old communication diagrams hardly correspond to reality. I heard that artificial intelligence is now being used with radars and sensors to locate underground cables. Has anyone tried this in real conditions? How much time does it save, and how much does it reduce the risk of errors?

Company that i work for recently completed a similar project. We started with classic survey methods, but quickly realized that it was difficult to obtain an accurate picture without additional data processing. AI algorithms helped filter out irrelevant information and identify key objects. This was especially useful with modern infrastructure detection, even networks that were recently laid and not included in old plans. This significantly sped up the planning process and reduced the risk of damaging communications.
