Off-Topic / Re: daughter has osteoarthritis
« on: April 17, 2015, 01:44:21 pm »Message ID: 975141Our 37 year old daughter just found out she has osteoarthritis in her lower back. It is causing her such pain that she can barely walk. She's had minor back issues for a good many years but this has hit her like a ton of bricks. The unbearable pain just hit all at once and is affecting her ability to work; not sure how much longer her employer will put up with her missing so much work. The spine and neck specialist she is seeing is doing some procedures to determine what can be done and he believes burning the nerve-endings in her lower back will give her maybe a years' relief. Just wondering if anyone here has had these kind of issues and what was done to relieve the pain. Appreciate any info.I have the same problem and others back issues as well. I have been dealing with this since 1998 and I take all kinds of medications and back treatments and none of them take it all away I still deal with pain everyday and some days are worse than others. I recomend that she get Medicaid Disability which isn't hard and start going to a specialist like nerology or pain managment and start her disbilility right away I have been fighting for it for 14 years and I am now 43 but didn't quit working until 2008 the best thing her employer can do is fire her so she can get her disability. I didn't do that so I am still waiting if you want to talk more get a hold of me at live.com my nickname is tweety072871 I would like to help you through this and give my exsperiences.
