Debate & Discuss / Staying on financial course
« on: April 01, 2017, 08:36:14 pm »Message ID: 1133010
Often times, I set goals. You know-3 mo, 6 mo, 9 mo, 1 yr, 5 yr, & 10 yr. Marriage was something that happened and then I have been trying to stay the course for the last 1 1/2 yrs. Don't get me wrong, I have been fortunate to marry s/o who understood I have goals. The issue has been staying the course and incorporating a new person in my plans. The financial aspect is the one where the impact is noted the most. Taking our combined incomes and expressing that in order to get where we are going in life, we have to sacrifice. Date night still happens, and I am grateful he sees that we are more at ease knowing that we incorporate a night on the town, without adversely impacting where we are going. The ultimate point is that in order to better our credit scores so we can get the house we want, not what is offered because it 'fits our credit profile' is to stay on course. Does it hurt at times? Yes. Is it worth it? Definitely.
