Off-Topic / Re: Remember Back When( The Good Ole Days)

Yeah that's another thing. We actually went outside and played. I was a kid in the early 80s and sure there was a lot of TV on in those days, but if we were bored we went outside, used our imagination and invented a game or whatever. Now kids have the ps3/xbox360 and most lack any sort of creativity. I think a lot of this is the parents fault since everytime my wife and I go out to eat we always see parents sucked into their cellphones and not paying any attention to their children...so the kids just emulate what their parents do.

If any of you visit California, I would recommend the San Luis Obispo area. It's on the central coast, halfway between SF and SD. Mid 70's, clear skies year around and if you want to see some good scenery while avoiding big cities then you can't beat it.

Just more proof that doing a lot of the short, low paying rewards pays off sooner than you might think

Although I will agree that in general, Best Buy's customer service has been absolute crap for a really long time now. Way before the economy tanked.

Well, since all these big companies have drastically cut back hours it generally makes your job pretty horrible in retail. Tons of work for near minimum wage, lots of pressure from management to still provide "great service", and just dealing with assholes all day makes it tough. Still not an excuse for kicking a printer box to move it (eventhough they are padded inside), but since I work in retail too I can probably understand the general lack of care. Still no excuse though...you put up a strong front on the floor and keep your true feelings between coworkers while not on the sales floor :)

I've debated trying it on Netflix, but I never did since I think it's pretty obvious as to what the main story will be.

I never look forward to my mail. For one, our post office in town is TERRIBLE. They always lose or don't deliver packages and if I do actually receive important mail, it's always beat up and dirty. I usually just receive a bunch of crap in the mail, just a huge waste.

I always liked December mainly because of the cool weather. I hate the heat!

If it's a number I don't know: talk to my voicemail. Simple as that.

I can sort of sing. I've been told that I have a good bass voice, but I have really no experience. Never really interested me.

I mainly watch Game of Thrones. Don't really care for much else that's on cable.

I never minded having my classes first thing in the morning...I liked having the rest of the day off. Although I never picked them first thing in the morning by choice, usually by necessity.
