It depends on what's important to you.

If you work with just FC, and would like to have money in your bank account because you have little use for PAYPAL, then direct deposit will work best.

If, however, you are dealing with several PTC or GTC sites, you may find that most will pay via PAYPAL or PAYSA.  Few, FC being one, will pay by check.

It's nice to have all transactions from PTCs and GTCs coming into one account: easier to track the transactions; easier to pay for upgrades and ads if you're into that aspect.  Not difficult to transfer funds to your bank account when the time comes.

If you reside outside the US, there may be PAYPAL fees for (international)  transactions.  If that applies to you, than direct deposit would be much better.

Not all sites cover the PAYPAL fees on funds being deposited into your PAYPAL account (FC does because it uses a mass pay arrangement.)  If you do use other PTC and GPT sites make sure you find out what their withdrawal procedures are and what they will charge you to withdraw and whether they use mass pay.  And if they do pay by check whether they have an administrative fee for writing the check.

It's a personal preference.  The deposit will be made regardless of which you choose and both are secure.

I have used paypal for my first 12 cashouts. Just switched to DD so I'll let you know when it happens. Shouldn't be any difference though.

I am using Paypal for my cashouts.  It is secure, and doesnt cost me anything.  My paypal account is seperate from my regular checking/savings and is my vacation fund.  One of these days I'll have enough in it from here and other sites to spring for something nice for my wife.

I use multiple sites so I like all my money going into my paypal account.  The majority of sites use paypal but very few pay by check or direct deposit so it's easier for me that it goes to the same place if possible

It depends on the person, which one they prefer. I personally like direct deposit. Since the money goes directly to my bank account I can take it out at an atm, use it at stores or online. Now for paypal I can only use it at online stores that accept paypal unless I transfer the money to my bank account, which takes an additionally 3-4 days. Paypal does tend to get paid a day or so before direct deposit and way before checks.
