Appalachian Story
« on: July 20, 2009, 09:45:06 am »
I'm starting a thread about life in Appalachia.  Although I am no longer there, I love the country.  If you are interested join in.  I'm going to take an approach of writing a story.  Feel free to jump in.

My first bit is this:

It was around February 10, 1977 when Raymond finally found out where John and Dottie Doe were living. They had moved back away from Indiana for some unverified peculiar reason, for which disclosure never became prevalent.  Raymond wanted to renew his relationship but with certain criteria in place.

An agreeable condition included John, Raymond’s biological father, remaining sober during the entirety of Raymond’s visit. One additional term was that Raymond’s adoptive family would not  be on the receiving end of a debate or discussion at anytime during the trip.  Raymond felt it would be a great possibility that it would lead to or be the start of anxious problems.

Up to this point, within Raymond was a deep burning that he felt had to be resolved before recognizing whom “Raymond” really was, and what he was to do with his life...

Are you interested in joining in?  Want to read more?  This can be a great exercise of journals of one's life in an anonymous way.
