Snow
« on: December 02, 2009, 06:21:47 am »
It's December 2nd and can you believe it, it is actually snowing in the Dallas/Ft Worth area!  I've been living in this area since 2005 and I can't recall it snowing like this. My kids were soooooooo excited this morning.  This area is known for icy conditions but not snow.  How often does it snow where you all live.  I like this weather.  Maybe I will think about relocating to somewhere where they always have a white christmas!

It hasn't snowed in 13 years where I live. I wish it would snow. We are currently experiencing some odd weather. It's been rainy and cold for the last two days now, and it is expected to be that condition for a couple more days. Maybe with the rain and cold front combined it could possibly develop into snow. Who knows?!

As much as I hate to say it, I missed the snow when I lived in Tucson, Az. for two years. If you want a good snowy area...Northwest Indiana is great. I not only get the regular heavy snowfall and the Lake ( Lake Michigan ) effect snow, I'm in something called a snow belt, which means we get hit the hardest...nice!

It is forecasted here in Illinois that we will have some snow this afternoon/evening.  Did I say how  I really, really hate snow?  I hope it passes by this state, because when it starts it doesn't know when and how to snow. :(

i'm in ny. we had our first snow yesterday (nice flurries - not enough to stick on the ground)
i was at the laundry mat when it started. i went outside to fully enjoy it - when i went back inside...i forgot about one of the loads left in the dryer and left. i was just in such a crisp mood!
that first snow is always beautiful - we just hate the last of it...in march, and sometimes april!

God I wish it would snow here for once on Christmas I live in Maryland and we used to have white Christmases almost every year and now we really don't get much snow unless it is a dumping on and it won't be until February when we get that its rainy and nasty but we keep getting unseasonably warm days.
