Our youngest was born on the 5th in 2008. She was the first baby of the new year at our hospital. Then, we have friends whose little girl was born on the 2nd last year. She was also the first baby of the new year at the hospital!

No, I don't know anyone with a New Year baby, but I would be mad if I had one. That is a few thousand dollars tax deduction you miss by having it on New Year instead of Decembeber 31st. Either way, everyone I know with BDay on 12/31/2009 almost miss out on the celebration because everyone is busy celebrating with NY celebration. Sucks for them.

I remember last year a woman gave birth to twins. It was amazing because one was born on dec 31, 2008 and the other one on Jan 1, 2009. Twins with different birth dates!  That's something!

A close friend of mine was born on New Years Eve. He was always complaining to me about it, because his parents would always combine his Christmas present and his birthday present into one. haha sucks for him..
