Nutrients in popcorn--who knew?   Popcorn is a surprising source of polyphenols and antioxidants.  It is a whole grain snack with fiber.  Plain popcorn according to the American Diabetes Association lists vitamin A, three grams of protein and the following minerals: iron, magnesium, folate, potassium, and phosphorus.  Corn meant for popping has complex carbohydrates which are essential for the body to produce energy.  Just thought I shared that!

I just had some fairly tasty buttered popcorn the other day. Put some pepper on it, sat down to my t.v. program, and before I knew it.. My popcorn was all gone!! Tasted pretty darn good too! :b

When I go to the movies I always order my popcorn with extra butter and no salt. And when I make my own homemade at home I add powdered cheese also. Too delicious. But I can't make it too often cause  it upsets my tummy.

I love buttered popcorn!  You should also try to make it with olive oil and sea salt - YUM!  Just put the olive oil in a heavy pot (just enough to cover the bottom).  Add about 1/4 cup of the corn kernals and cover with a lid (leave a little gap so the steam can escape).  Place on stove top at medium heat and keep your eye on it.  When it has slowed to just a few pops, turn off the heat and let it finish popping while it cools.  Add sea salt and enjoy!

I love it usually, but sometimes the chemical sludge they put on popcorn in the theaters is too much.

I must eat popcorn at least 3 to 4 times a week! The more butter the better 4 me. But lately
my thing is caramel popcorn!

I am not a big popcorn fan, but i really dont care for the butter (unless at the movies!). I like lots of salt though!!
