Can American idol survive without Simon whats your opinion?

I think American idol might be a lot less interesting without Simon, because he tells it like it is most of the time, and he's been a judge on that show since it began, and he really seem to help make the show. I dont know it might be wired if and when he leaves the show I think the show will be boring without him, well what are your thoughts?

Simon used to be the cornerstone of that show. People are still going to mindlessly  watch that show for no particular reason other than to waste time. Just because one person on the show goes away, doesn't mean the millions of people are going to just stop watching it overnight. If it dies, its because the program sucks in the first place.

 I don't watch American idol, but from what I hear Simon is the best part of the show. So I would think that American idol will suffer some when he is gone

No, if american idol was to lose Simon, the whole show would go down. He is the best! everyone else tries to be nice but Simon tells it as it is.

It might suffer some, but already the show is loosing popularity.  The ratings are not what they used to be.  It is becoming tiresome.  Some of the people are talanted, but it is just more of the same year after year.  I watch the show here and there, but not every week.

I like American Idol but I don't know if it can survive losing Simon he makes a big part of the show becasue he doesn't suger coat it.  He is very honest and up front.

Simon is a huuuge part of the show, without him it just wont be as interesting. I for one miss Paula haha

I never watch American Idol, but I do think that Simon Cowell was just playing a nasty character, in other words giving the sadistic people out there what they want.  As to whether the show will continue to succeed-it depends on if they can replace Simon with someone with the same type of nasty character.  Hey anything for good ratings.

I don't particularly care for any of the judges and I haven't sat down to watch a full season since the time Tamyra Gray was on there, but....I agree, Simon makes the show. It just won't be the same (and Paula's gone too). I don't watch the show but I can't imagine just Randy, Ellen and that other woman, whatever her name is. I know Randy must be sad even though he won't admit it.

I haven't watched American Idol in 2 or 3 years, but when I did watch it I thought Simon was the best judge. He told it like it was and I think that helped the contestants to become better singers.

I seriously don't think that show will survive without Simon. Unless they replace him with an equally interesting character. I mean, there are contestants that enter that show purely -because- Simon is there. It's pathetic really, but hey...the show keeps going.

He's the most interesting part of the show to me, but I know a lot of people hate him.  I don't think the show will be hurt to much.

I don't watch it very often but I think they can survive..Maybe they can get Peers Morgan. he can be a jerk, too, sometimes.
