Warning: Don't do Mobile Offers in the Additional Offers!
« on: March 28, 2010, 02:42:58 pm »
After you enter the More Special Offers under Free/No CC section, there is a section under the header "Mobile."  DON'T DO THOSE OFFERS.  I tried it twice, one time on February 27 8:43AM and another time about a month later.  The first time I did it, I entered my cell number and subscribed.  I waited about 45 minutes later, and no money was credited to me.  So, I decided to unsubscribe.  Later, when I decided to try again, I got the same result.  BUT!!  Worse yet, today I just got my phone bill and I got CHARGED $9.99.  Not only did I not get my credits, but I also got charged when I didn't even use their site or anything.  WARNING!  The mobile section is a scam!

If you read the fine print they tell you that you will be subscribing to the service and will be charged a fee each month. I never do those because not only do I not like to dish out my cell phone number, I don't want every Tom, *bleep* and Harry texting me or calling me using up my minutes. My advice is only sign up for things you are truely interested in.

You have to read the fine print on every offer.  I also almost signed up for that until I read the fine print.

I think its the hardest section for Fusioncash's server to catch the information (Cookies) for thoes offers. Because you are doing so on your mobile phone, so i don't even see how they'd get the cookies for that offer.

I never do the offers w/ my cell phone - The only time I did was for an insurance quote that states they would not call me.  10 minutes later I got a call w/ estimates.... I ended up switching though so it was alright lol.

Only do the mobile offers if you are interested in them! You get exactly what is described- 3 ringtones for .99, etc etc, and then you pay a monthly subscription to them. It is not a scam, I would not call it that atleast- what you read is what you get.

If you read the small print on the mobile ones it charges your phone sometimes I have learned never to give a cell number I have been burned on them ringtones before they charged 10 dollars a month so I can download free ringtones so I learned a long time ago about mobile things

I work at Verizon store....you want to be very careful ever putting your mobile number in anywhere on the internet.  Most of the time, if you read the fine print, you can see that you will get charged $9.99 a month.  Also known as a premium text message on a cell phone bill.  If you ever receive a weird text message to your phone with usually 4-6 digits....reply to the message with the word stop or quit.  Make sure not to have any signature at the bottom of your text ie. Megan :)
