Being a grandmother

Being a grandmother is a wonderful part of life. My first grandchild was born in Oct. 2009. Her name is Shayna Starrlynn and she is beautiful.  At first I didn't want to be a grandma because the thought of it made me feel old. Now that she is here I wouldnt trade for anything.  If anything she gives me a reason to stay young.

What a beautiful name, and congratulations!!! You know when my kids were old enough they called their grandma (my hubbys mom) MeMe. I thought it was adorable and so did their MeMe and it stuck. Maybe your little one will think of a unique name just for you.

That is a beautiful name!

I became a grandmother at 44.  I didn't like it much either, but I morphed into the "cool gramma."  My grandchild and daughter live with me now, and I love it.

The only thing I don't like about being grandma is I don't get to see my little grandsons very often. I can't hardly wait when I know they're coming to visit.
