I am doing Weight Watchers and the Wii Fit.  I started 12/28 and I have lost 15 lbs and 4.5 inches on my waist.  I would rather lose the weight slowly and hopefully stand a better chance of keeping the weight off.

I am currently following the workout i learned from my basketball coach. It consists 5 sets. Each set contains 40 sit-ups, 35 push-ups(military style) 35 declined push-ups(regular), 50 mountain climbers(military style). After that we run about 3.5 miles.

LOL. I can't keep up with a diet. I love food way too much for that but I play sports so i guess it balances out somehow :D

I am also doing WW and lost 13.6 pounds in 9 weeks. Just love it.

my dad has been doing a "grapefruit diet" and lost a lot of weight... it's basically a high protein/low carb diet... i actually started it a little over a week ago and i lost 6 lbs in the first week with no excercise...

Hi to all..this is my first post and a topic near and dear to my heart.  I am 56 years young and having enjoyed a career as a certified fitness trainer, I have finally given up "diets"....I am also a nurse and picked up very unhealthy eating habits when I returned to nursing while still working as a trainer---2003.  On August 29, 2005, my whole world turned upside down when Hurricane Katrina struck.  The gym where I trained my clients, and the hospital where I worked in the  Cancer ctr as an infusion/chemo nurse both ceased to exist.   I had to start over and chose nursing as a full-time career.....but let me go back to my intention of this post.
I am learning to eat only when I am hungry---but no restrictions--I am eating whatever I feel like eating and learning to love and celebrate my body as is.  I do exercise at least 5 days a week and did my first "Carribean style" dance class today--what a hoot!  Eventually, I think my body will get sick of some of the "unhealthy" choices I have selected over more nutritious ones.  For me, allowing anything I want makes me feel calmer--I don't have to eat something "fun" as if it's the last time I'll ever have a chance to indulge.  I'll keep you posted if interested.
For me, no forbiddens is psychologically healthier--I'm already craving less fatty and sugary stuff.  My health is my priority and I monitor BP, lipid profile, etc. faithfully.  Let me know what is working for you!

I am trying  ... at the moment it is on hold because I have gotten sick again and currently on antibiotics for what I thought was strep but the culture came back negative. My throat still looks bad and my head feels terrible.  I'm getting ready for a vacation and my sister is flying in today to visit for a while .... my life is just too hectic.  I think because I am older (52) it is harder to get any weight off.  I was going to physical therapy and exercising at home everyday .... I think I may have lost a pound  :(  but I'm not giving up.  I do try to eat healthy as possible.  GOOD LUCK!

Running is awesome, especially when the weather is at the perfect temp.  I am going for a run tonight after my grad class!
