i miss having pets.  i grew up with dogs and cats, but my hubby is allergic to cats -- chose him over the cat

You just have to get him to like cats too! And get one of the hypoallergy cats..? My boyfriend is allergic and he really wants a cat too so he'll be willing to live with it.   *meow*
