I guess at my age, I'm wondering what accomplishments, milestones any of us used to indicate how far we progressed in life, let alone succeed in life? What are your milestones?

my general timetable as far as my aspirations go
are somewhat on track. i'm almost 24 and by now,
i figured i'd have a college degree and be engaged,
supporting myself in a town far from where i grew up.
that's pretty much happened...

however, my creative and long-term goals have been
neglected because i'm lazy, yet like to use the excuse
that i "never have enough time"... which is completely
untrue, considering i juggled a stressful full time job
while going to college full time as well, and still had
time to make things and enjoy my creative hobbies,
like photography and such.

i promised myself in highschool, after taking a journalism
class, that i'd write a book before i was 25. and i had
been writing long before i even set that goal...

there's other things i haven't accomplished by now
that i've wanted to. motivation is a hard thing to come by.
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

I don't believe in milestone. Everyone is different as I don't believe in following the pressures of society's norm like when a person should marry, have a family, follow the footsteps of taking over a family business when you have other talents and interests in mind etc.. As long as you know what you really want, follow your own heart and sincerely do the best you can to achieve your goal (without harming anyone) even though it may take a lifetime. Don't compare yourself with others. Seek wisdom, forgive yourself and learn from your mistakes. There's a lot to learn and discover. Life on earth is all about learning and how to love. It's just my opinion. :)
