:dog:  It's a bit of a bad habit, but I have accustomed my dog to nibble here and there whenever I'm eating. Not from my plate of course. But damn, this dog will eat anything that's not nailed down. This morning, I was eating a banana muffin and she wanted a piece.

If you don't offer her any, she starts to "bark silently" her way of saying: in her dog voice Hey, I'm here. You continue to ignore her and it gets a little louder. Until she climbs on the chair or the bed next to you and gets in your face, you then have to tell her to get down and she expects a good girl treat because she did what you asked.  Too much but I luv the mutt and she loves me... Man's best friend alright.

One of my cats is a junk food junkie.  He'll eat french fries, potato chips, Doritos, Funyuns, Cheetos, doughnuts, just about anything.  He really expects a bite.

My boyfriend had a dog when we started dating, and now I guess we've adopted each other. I do alot of training and exercise with him.
He is not allowed any people food, under any circumstance. Of course, my grandmother and his mother like to spoil the dog as if he were a grandchild.
And if I drop a goldfish on the carpet, I look the other way as he sneaks in to *bleep* it.
I do not let him beg, tho. And scold him for doing so.

Lol my family used to do that with our dogs. My dad taught them to give little handshakes, usually after they get it right we would give them a treat. So our dogs would sit close by the table giving handshakes no one asked for. It was so cute, so we couldn't help but give them some.

Sometimes I wish I could. My cat has food allergies :sad1: So I must really fight temptation, not to let my  :cat: friend :cat: indulge on some yummy goodies here and there  :'(

To tell you the truth she used to eat more human food before hand then she does now. She's getting older and has to watch her girlish figure. So she can stay with us for a LONG TIME!  AOL has a great animal training site. I read it from time to time.
