Do you think that All Sex Offenders have the ability to rehabilitate themselves while being in jail?

No, wether it's a chemical imbalance, a rotten childhood, or just unbalanced, it can't be done by just going to jail.

NO, I think sex offenders should be castrated after their 1st. offense to insure they will not be a menace to society again!

No. They can't. I doubt that can actually EVER be "rehabilitated"

Depending on the offense, rehabilitation might be possible; nonetheless, they should be closely supervised for the rest of their lives. There is also a chemical they can take which renders them incapable of re-offending.

i think they can....i think that they should be monitored closely but i think anybody is capable of changing.if people are capable of getting off of drugs or breaking any kind of addictions or bad habits, it's the same thing. you make a decision to change and then do it. whether they want to change or not..that's a different story

No.  It's like some animals taste blood and are never the same.

Sometimes this isn't a black and white issue. If we're talking about small children, absolutely there should be harsher punishments, but there is a grey area where the laws are different. I have a friend that was nailed in Florida when he was 17 and dated a 15-year-old, and he's technically an offender, because the girl got mad at him and his family decided to press charges.

These laws are in place for a reason, and some people abuse them. Should that friend have been castrated for that offense? No. But plenty of people should. It's why we can't have blanket decisions without thinking things through.

I think that it depends upon what you determine to be a sex offender.

My goodness, there are some people who are declared they are sex offenders because they had sex with a 17 year old when they were 19.

So, for me, one must define a sex offender first in order for me to answer this question reasonably.

When someone preys on young children, that is sick and they should be castrated! To do that to an innocent child!  >:(

I don't think they can be rehabilitated and not all sex offenders end up in jail. I know from personal experience. I hope none of you ever go through what I have.
