The oil has STOPPED flowing! The cap is holding as of now ...87 days into this. I hope and pray that this holds. I know there is still a long way to go cleaning up but this is fantastic if it holds!

Well, it aint over yet but I think I hear the fat lady tuning up now.
Ominous reports are leaking past the BP Gulf salvage operation news blackout that the disaster unfolding in the Gulf of Mexico may be about to reach biblical proportions.

251 million years ago a mammoth undersea methane bubble caused massive explosions, poisoned the atmosphere and destroyed more than 96 percent of all life on Earth. [1] Experts agree that what is known as the Permian extinction event was the greatest mass extinction event in the history of the world. [2]

I'm revisiting this thread now as I do not believe we have seen the end of this. Of course I can always hope that I'm wrong. Still I will carry the water spirit avatar and I believe the water spirit is crying. Here is something I came across recently and I found it very interesting. Please read completely before making any judgments.
Here's a link if you prefer to read the page ....
http://www.heirloomtomatoes.biz/is-nostradamus-mabus-comet-a-hurricane

Is the comet in Nostradamus's Mabus quatrain really a hurricane? And was he warning us about the gulf oil spill?
Sat, 08/21/2010 - 04:46 — Dan
I registered the HeirloomTomatoes.biz domain for this site on Friday the 13th. So in keeping with that omen of good luck, I'm starting off with an article about a Nostradamus prediction. This has nothing to do with tomatoes.

Nostradamus had a lot of visions about the future, and he wrote them down in 4 line poems, or quatrains. And I've always wondered about one in particular. His Mabus quatrain. Whenever I hear about some catastrophe, I try to figure out if there's some connection. If you're not familiar with the quatrain, this is a typical translation:

“Mabus will soon die and there will come
A dreadful destruction of people and animals,
Suddenly vengeance will be revealed,
Hundred, hands, thirst and hunger when the comet will pass.”

So, the other night I was reading a discussion about BP's gulf oil spill. And there was a link to another discussion on GodLikeProductions.com, started by someone who had a dream that predicted the Deepwater Horizon explosion. And that got me thinking. We have a "dreadful destruction of people and animals". And we have Ray Mabus, the Secretary of the Navy, put in charge of the gulf. But do we have a comet? I googled for comets in the news, and the closest thing I could find was the Perseid meteor shower. That seemed like a stretch. But then it hit me. What would Nostradamus think if he had a vision of a satellite picture of a hurricane? What would he make of it? Would he know what a hurricane looked like from space? Did he even know what a hurricane was? I mean, he probably never experienced one. And it's not like he could have looked it up on the internet. So how would he describe this strange, cloudy, white image, traveling over the earth, bringing destruction? A comet? Comets are cloudy, white, appear in the sky, and people often associated them with destruction. So everything started falling into place. And I wrote down everything I could think of that could be related. And now I'm trying to sort it all out. This is what I have so far. Some of it may not be relevant, but I included it anyway, in case there's a connection I'm not seeing.

* Matt Simmons, who was well-connected in the oil industry, warned about lakes of oil and gases accumulating near the ocean floor from the BP spill, and what could happen if a hurricane came along and stirred them up. He said people near the gulf were at risk of dying, if a cloud of these gases were to somehow drift onshore. He said there should be a plan to evacuate them ahead of a storm. He also said BP's stock will go to zero. He was just found dead in his hottub.

* Some people wrote that a hurricane wouldn't stir up the oil plumes, since the plumes were too deep. But what's going to happen when these plumes move to shallow water?

* Mabus - Secretary of the Navy, Ray Mabus, is currently in charge of stuff in the gulf. If he's there long enough, could he die from all the toxic fumes?

* A dreadful destruction of people and animals - It's been pretty bad already. And what if Matt Simmons was right, and a hurricane stirs up all those toxic gases, and they drift onshore?

* The person from GodlikeProductions said he dreamed something horrible would happen, beginning on 4/20. Then on 4/20, the Deepwater Horizon exploded. He said he saw a valley in LA in his dream. He thought LA was Los Angeles. Could he have been mistaken, and LA really stood for Louisiana? It's abbreviated LA. And could the valley be New Orleans? It's in a depression, surrounded by water, and partially below sea level. And could heavier-than-air poisonous gases fill the New Orleans area, similar to the way it was filled with floodwaters after Katrina? Or what would happen if it was simply flooded with water, contaminated with oil and corexit? If not New Orleans, could the valley be the Mississippi River Valley? That's in LA too.

* "Walking with Dinosaurs" episode 6 "Death of a Dynasty"--available instantly on Netflix--shows how the dinosaurs may have been suffocated by carbon monoxide. The theory is: carbon monoxide came from volcanic vents. It was heavier than air, so it stayed close to the ground. And it suffocated the dinosaurs.

* Nostradamus specifically said "people and animals". Was it significant that he didn't include non-living things? Lack of oxygen would affect "people and animals". Not stuff like cars and buildings.

* Ex-senator Ted Stevens, who had BP connections, just died in a plane crash.

* Thirst and hunger - They had trouble getting supplies into New Orleans when it was flooded after Katrina. So what would happen if New Orleans was flooded again. But this time, it was also blanketed with poisonous gas? And existing food and water were contaminated with oil, corexit, and other toxic stuff.

* Comet - What would a satellite picture of a hurricane look like to someone from the 1500's? A comet maybe? Would someone from the 1500's know what a hurricane looked like from above? And would someone from the 1500's who may have never been near a hurricane, even know what one was? Nostradamus made a reference to "half-pig" men in a different quatrain. And some people think this was his way of describing a vision he had of jet pilots wearing oxygen masks. They say he didn't always recognize what he saw, so he just described things in terms he knew.

* BP said their well was no longer leaking, after they did their "static kill" operation. But recently, while watching the live video feeds of the ocean floor, I saw a pipe that leads up to the surface, leaking very badly. And fairly steady clouds of dark stuff coming up from the seabed. And things weren't looking any better the last time I looked.

* BP recently said they "may not need the relief well", which in BP-speak probably means "the relief well won't work". Or maybe "we just want our lives back, so we're going to call it done".

* The effects of the oil dispersant corexit, as used in the gulf, are unknown.

---

So is the Mabus quatrain related to the gulf oil spill? Are people and animals near the gulf in danger from clouds of poisonous gases, and should they get out before it's too late? I remember reading that Nostradamus didn't think his visions necessarily had to happen. But instead, they could be considered warnings. It's like he saw a bus coming at us from down the road, and it could hit us if we don't get out of the way.

All predictions/writings of Nostradamus can be interpreted into most anything and everything catastrophic that happens. That has already been looked at in depth, over many years, by both pro and con believers in his  'soothsaying' abilities.

As for this part:
Quote
The person from GodlikeProductions said he dreamed something horrible would happen, beginning on 4/20. Then on 4/20, the Deepwater Horizon exploded.
If I am not mistaken, Godlike Productions is a group of conspiracy theorists. When I hear these 'dream predictions' I always have to wonder why the people never voice the dreams until AFTER the event occurs. Why is that?
You are entitled to your own opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts.

I couldn't finish watching it.  These oil companies make me sick.   :angry7:
Yes they do!
