SO NOT FAIR!
« on: January 17, 2008, 01:58:59 pm »
I did an offer for columbia house two months ago. I filled out the credit request and waited two months to find out I was denied! I filled out the form and provided the email, I was told that the email address wasn't valid!! How is that?? I don't understand, it completely makes me angry that I get denied for a high dollar offer, when in fact I waited so long to be told so, that's total crap! Anyone else experience something similar?

Yes, I also signed up for the Netflix and was to be credited $20.00 and was denied! What the heck is going on? I also fill out the daily surveys and have been denied credit for those as well!

Did they give you any reason for saying the e-mail address wasn't valid?  Was it your regular e-mail address you use for everything else?  I was credited for Columbia House, but I'm still waiting for BMG to credit and I requested credit in November (i think) or early December....That, and the Dr. Seuss Book club.  Both better credit because I'm still a part of both of those clubs and I used my regular everyday e-mail address (the one my friends and family have) and I've been ordering from and paying both of them....

question. if it said invalid email... did you use a threw away email address? one you make up to only use once? or did you confirm the email they sent you? if not then it would show inval. i've done blockbuster on here and got credit within 2 minutes after closing the page. i have yet to be denied for any credit card offers i've done on any site. just make sure you keep the page open long enough for the cookies to drop after doing the ofefr so it shows you completed it threw this site or whatever site your doing the offer on. keep you email open while doing the offers so you can check you email n junk mail when your done for any emails you need to confirm. save all emails! i use gmail for all freebies offers. but for any credit card offers or offers like loans where i enter personal info i use my reg email! same with got sites i join threw offers. never ever ever use a threw away email address as it's fraud. and never put fake info. for credit card offers make sure you put your home phone number where they can get ahold of you as at times they do call to check that the lead is valid. for freebies i use my brring number. yes it rings to my cell but.... most advertisers hang up before the 10 seconds ad is done that they have to listen to before being connected to me. so it's no big deal. i would say i get about 10 calls a week from advertisers that go past the 10 seconds phone ad and wait for me to answer. and most times since i have caller id on my cell i don't answer if it's an advertiser unless it's one i reallyyyyy do wanna talk to. i answer most of them but if i'm busy i'm not gonna sit on the phone with them for an hour for something that can wait. but yeah. this is what i do and i've never had a problem yet.....   also clear cookies and make sure that there is NO pop up blockers turned on or firewalls.
