Selling Hair online
« on: September 24, 2010, 06:23:14 pm »
Hey! I am new to FusionCash, and looking for ways to make extra cash. One of the things I have researched lately is selling human hair on the internet. I have very long hair and thought about donating it, but If I could make a few dollars... Anyway, just wondering if anyone has done this kind of thing before, and how legit it is.... :icon_rr:

I've looked into it. They will buy good healthy hair to use for extensions. It has to be a certain length. Google it and you'll find a bunch of sites.

Hey, could you donate some of that hair to me?   I just lost my comb over.   :sad1:

A few sites I've found are thehairtrader.com, and hairwork.com. They seem to be legit, but I haven't actually tried them. I've heard that you can also sell your hair on ebay and craigslist.

I found one called "Hairwork" that you pay for an auction for your hair. Still kind of wondering what kind of weirdos I might get with doing this! I have about 17'' of hair. I am older (46) but I still don't have gray! :icon_rr:

I've never thought of selling my hair, but I'd consider it. Mine grows very fast and I usually get it cut when I get the 10 inches necessary to donate it to Locks Of Love.

I worked with two young ladies who periodically donated their hair.  They don't get money for it but they are rewarded by knowing their hair goes for wigs for people who lose their hair to chemo, etc.  I am a female who experienced hair loss from taking prescription drugs for high blood pressure, and I know it is totally devastating.  I wear wigs because it it preferred by me to have people wondering if I am wearing a wig and have them staring at my bald spots.  There was some wig companies online that sell natural-looking wigs at an affordable price.

sounds like an interesting idea...
I've done the Locks of Love donation before.  I just can't stand growing my hair any more; I usually keep it between ear to shoulder length.
hope you folks make some $$!
