How to Clean a Blender
« on: October 25, 2010, 08:16:08 am »
It very simple really!  You mixed about 1/4 cup to two cups of water in the blender.  Next you turn on the blend going for 30 seconds at three different speeds. I do three different speeds from low to high and then back again.  Once your down you pour out the water and vinegar mixture.  Rinse the blender and then let it dry.  The top you can rinse and clean with soap and water.

Instead of pouring it down the drain, how about using it to also clean your coffee maker ? Assuming of course it isn't full of food scraps.

You would be able to do that if there wasn't the white foamy residue that remained after cleaning the blender.  I also have to add that you should rinse once or twice after you have poured the vinegar and water mixture down the drain. Prior to cleaning the blender, you should rinse, first, all remaining residue from the fruit, yogurt, juice or whatever, that's left in the blender.

How much vinegar are you supposed to have in the mixture? Equal parts?? This sounds like a good and simple method, no need for special cleaners.
