So who's psyched about 12/07/2010 WoW: Cataclysm

I'm totally psyched about it and got it reserved as well as names for my Worgen and Goblins!  I think even though alot of things have changed it will be a kickass expansion to the game.  What do you guys think?

I also have (a few) names saved, only they are for worgens and trolls, so I can have more druids.  ;D
I preordered the Collector's Edition at Best Buy.  I'm excited because I'm hoping that the Alliance quests should be more interesting (most of my toons are Horde; the quest chains for Allies always made me want to nap).  However, I do worry about the new healing model in Cata (my mains are a druid resto and a shaman resto); hopefully the dps will lose their "GOGOGO aoe spam" mentality and realize that healers will once again have to drink between pulls, and that the dps will have to use CC again on mobs.

World of Warcraft (it's one of those MMORPGs-massively multiplayer online role-playing game).  Cataclysm is the newest expansion.
I love playing it; I live 500+ miles away from my family, and my Da, brothers, older sister (and her husband), and favorite cousin all play it.  It's a fun way to stay connected when we can get in little groups with our characters and do quests and dungeons together.  I'm a healer, my 14 yo brother's a tank (damage absorber), and the rest are dps (damage per second).  Basically, my brother's job is to get (and keep) the monsters attention and be a meat shield, my job is to heal the tank (and any other damage that might happen), and the dps kills things.

Who is 85 ? I have my holy pally at 85 and working on all of my professions. maxed out mining and herbing and working on my jewelcrafting, alchemy, tailoring and  cooking as well as farming mats for my husband's engineering and inscription lol! Seems like a rush job since I also have to get my alts to 85 and gear up!!! Our guild has had allot of realm firsts. 5 of the level 85 realm firsts on Thrall were ours as well as several professions. It was all planned out ahead of time and was a group effort of course!

Sigh, I guess it's a generational thing, but December 7th, is the day Pearl Harbor got bombed by the Japanese, and we honor those who lost their lives because of that horrible day.  It was a day to live in Infamy.

I guess we as the older generation have not been successful in passing down the importance of that part of history, and to remember our military men and women who gave their lives on that day.  I wonder how long it will be before 9/11 becomes just a another "day" to the future generations?  If we don't remember and pay respect.....who will?

How about the men and women that are losing their lives in Afghanistan and Iraq today?  Are we remembering that we are still at war, even though it isn't here, but on foreign soil?  Do we care?  Hope so.

What type of healer do you have? Here is mine : http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/thrall/holycupcake/simple

I have a friend and her husband that are addicted and they have been talking about nothing but the new expansion.  We have talked about breaking down and getting it but I have issues with the fact that you have to pay a monthly fee to play the game and in my case it would be two monthly fees, one for me and one for hubby.  We play a game like WoW called Neverwinter Nights and it is free to play.

I just can't seem to get past the fact that I have to play a monthly fee to play a game that I had to buy in the first place.

I prefer to think of the fee as cheap entertainment. I have played many free to play games and even met my husband in one (Knight Online) however the customer service in free to play games just is not there.

However I'm currently taking my time leveling, working on archeology more and getting my leatherworking up; generally checking things out.  So for now, I've been in feral spec; easier to quest.  I want the mount from archeology, plus I've gained 1 of my levels from archeology xp.

It is funny you should say that about the archeology xp lol! I finished my level on mining! It was pretty funny!  I got the mining pet but I wrapped it up to give my husband as an in game Christmas gift lol! Is it hard to get the archeology mount? I don't know much about how that works ! I have allot of professions between all of my chars but my main is the gatherer. I really need to level my mage to 85 but I am being lazy about it lol!

I believe you have to have at least 250 archeology skill for the mount to even be an option, then you have to pick up fossils and complete the fossil relics until the mount appears.  It's just luck of the draw, really.  I may work on my main later on today, but since I'm visiting family, I may not.   ;D
