old people realy need to stop driving

I think the age to get a license should be moved up.

I agree with this.  I think the age should be moved up to 18.  Teenagers brains are not fully developed and this does affect the decisions they make.

Well there are some old people that can drive well but there was one case where my uncle's mother-in-law got run over and killed by an elderly man. It was just so tragic. She was a rather large woman and the old man claimed he didn't see her. She was just stepping off the sidewalk at a shopping center to go to her car and she got run over by this man who was driving at 40 mph in a SHOPPING CENTER. I'd say that in this case he shouldn't be allowed to drive again. It's not up to us to decide whether older people can drive or not. I think this is an issue for a doctor or the DOT. After all it is a free country.

Forget about old people driving, I constantly get annoyed with drivers who cut in front to: 1) parked their car, 2) slow down once they passed you, 3) after they've cut in front of you, you see the back of their car for the next five or six miles or 4) you end up right behind them at the next traffic light.  So what is the point of this?  I mean, if you are going to cut in front of me or somebody else, we should not need to see the back of your car within the next five or six miles.  At least, have some place to go and the culprits of this annoying habit is usually not someone old.

The older people driving are not a problem as compared to the people I see applying make-up, talking on the cell phones, texting or whatever else they do besides driving.

Here's a thought!  People who can't see should not be driving!!!

I was out visiting a relative in Palm Springs where the majority of peole are retirees.  My uncle is in his early 70's and several times I saw my life flash before my eyes.
