That's exactly what I'm trying to improve in this new year...In 2011 Imma try my very best to be positive (and be more spiritual) and yes it can be a difficult thing to accomplish if you're surrounded by negative people, or watch negative things on tv, even the frustrations of everyday life can throw you in a bad mood, but you have to strive to be positive cause being negative attracts nothing but more negativity (and can even cause disease.)

 :peace::heart:, AND JOY THIS YEAR!!!

I try to be a positive thinker, but sometimes it's easier said than done. Whenever something goes wrong I always tell myself that everything happens for a reason and that it's just another challenge that I was meant to overcome to make myself a better person. So far that logic has been working great. Have a happy and healthy new year.

I just started doing online college about a month ago and my first class was psychology of motivation.  It talked a lot about positive thinking and it was very interesting.  It makes a big difference having a positive attitude so for those of you who are wanting positive thinking to be a new year's resolution, I would challenge you to start by looking in the mirror every day and saying something encouraging to yourself.  :thumbsup:

Watch the movie "The Secret". It's wonderful and tells you what positive thinking can do for you and how to excise positive thinking so that you can get result from it. Believe!!!!!!!

I think that I am a pretty positive thinker. I try not to let little things bother me, although sometimes it can be hard. I try to believe that everything happens for a reason. :)

Definatley a positive thinker,, the more good you put out there the more good you will get, the universe works great that way,, It is hard to do it all the time, (I am still trying and learining) and always remember if you say or state it negative it will be negative,,, So try to say I will win, instead of taking the negative and saying I will NEVER win,,!!! (say it that way and you will never win!) and The Secret a great book too!

I've always thought of myself as a positive person, but sometimes the devil in the guise of a human being can cause you to become negative if your self esteem isn't strong.

I'm  a very positive thinker. I read books and listen to audios that teach people how to think positively. I believe in positive thinking, and I believe thoughts will materialize.

:star: I know that you are correct. I just have such a hard time keeping on the positive. I am a Virgo and I OVER ANALYZE EVERYTHING.

This query is quite a dilemma.  I too attempt to always keep a positive mindset but at some points it is almost impossible to always have that mindset.

I am the only POSITIVE person in my whole house!  All the negative  :bs:  really gets me going sometimes...I want to choke them!  (just joking)

Thankfully I am positive enough and strong enough to deal with them.  It is a constant battle, but one I am willing to fight.

Being positive is the best thing you can do for yourself and others around you.
