As we have seen countless arguments in the favour and in the opposition of the Obama's Healthcare plan in last one year.I just wanted to see what my fellow members think about it.

it would be nice if we could read the plan  and know what REALLY is in it  most of what i know is hear say and that hear say changes the next day  so i guess i will just have to wait for the actual facts to surface....

I too have heard conflicting information and it seems like there are all kinds of things going on with it. BUT it depends on which political party is using the information. LOL

I don't want it overturned entirely mostly because of the clause that stipulates that insurance companies MUST insure everyone regardless of pre-existing conditions but I would also like to see a cap on how much extra they can charge people with pre-existing conditions, without a cap insurance would be too expensive for anyone with a pre-existing condition to purchase and wouldn't have the desired effect. I also like that they have a clause that says that they can't charge women more just because they can get pregnant. Currently on my policy it is $15 more a month to insure me because I could possibly get pregnant BUT they will not cover my prenatal care or hospital stay outside of an emergency, for that kind of care I would need to have a maternity rider for 1 year before using it at $100 more a month. As far as I'm concerned if you are going to charge me more for being a woman then you need to cover maternity care....if you don't want to cover it then don't charge me more. Something that I would like to see out of there is mandated insurance. If I can't afford to pay for insurance in the first place then I definitely don't need you charging me a fine because I don't have it.

Just my two cents. :)
