Do you think the economy is going to get better for the YEAR of 2011?

The biggest waist of taxpayers money  is protecting our ex-presidents.  If they are in the private sector, why should taxpayers still foot the bill?

Not only that, but each congressman continues to get paid even when they step down or get voted out.  Not one person in the senate or congress have to rely on social security checks or worry about health care.  The budget cuts are being made in areas where the people can least afford it.  We vote these people in office to stand up for us, their constituents, but instead they are voting for what's popular or what special interest groups can pay them the most in kick-backs.  Our country has literally been taken away from us.  We have no voice unless we stand up and speak up.  My hat goes off to the people of Wisconsin.  They have had the intestinal fortitude to just say "NO".

many people are still jobless that's true but the number is decreasing so i feel by the end of 2011 tat will be very low ad all will be happy again with theri jobs

It is my perspective that our economy is an interdependent economic system.  In essence, our governmental system ultimately depends on the consumer to become knowledgeable about how to financially work within the system, in essence, we must understand what we MUST to do to fulfill our role.  Hence, the business owner, the entrepreneur, and our government must work together for our economy to return to normalcy.  What we, Fusion Cash surveyors, are doing now, as social and business network marketeers, to supplement our income, and becoming self-sufficient covers a multitude of bad politics over the last 25 years.  WE WILL RE-COVER AND WE WILL ULTIMATELY STEP BACK INTO OUR GLOBAL ECONOMIC LEADERSHIP ROLE AS THE ENTIRE WORLD, IF THE TRUTH BE TOLD, IS EXPECTING US TO REGAIN OUR ROLE AS THE WORLD CLASS LEADERS WHO ARE THE MASTER MIND LEADERS OF THIS ENTIRE GLOBAL SOCIO-ECONOMIC SOCIETY.

In some areas and some industries I think will see a small improvement unfortunately many more will not have recovered. It will be a slow recovery, but as I listen to the news and hear them talk of the burst of the housing bubble in 2006-07, we have really been in this for a while and I predict that the powers that be will finally say that the housing market went into double dip in late 2010 and early 2011. Many of us were feeling the recession long before the news or government admitted it, so no action to help (cut spending) equals a longer recovery.

If all the companies would stop giving all the jobs to the illegals or giving them to people in places like India and china that would help. They say it is because their labor is cheaper but we did not have high insurance premiums until all the illegals started coming here and using the Emergency room as their regular doctor checkups. Don't get me started on how they screw the welfare system in ca either.

There are just so many problems going on at the same time and if we continue to do nothing it is only going to get worse. Just my 2 cents.

With oil prices surging because of the unrest in the Middle East, our economic recovery may get stalled. I still believe we will look back on 2011 as the year things started to improve.

I hope you are right, but the unrest in the Middle East is very concerning due to our oil dependency on the Middle East.  Things are so unstable there now, that almost anything can happen.  I wish them all peace & harmony.  I think our economy (barring political unrest) is very shaky and it's going to take a long, long time.  I believe our current government hinders economic recovery with too much policy.

No, I don't think it's getting better. (I think that will take at least 5 years.) I know alot of people who have been laid off with nowhere to go.  And everyday I read wishes on Wish Upon A Hero from average people who need help just to get by.

Well, we can thank Clinton and NAFTA for that.  After that bill was signed, jobs that Americans used to do started moving out of the country. The bottom line for business was to produce the same and pay out less.  They never even considered that ultimately it would hurt the US.  I don't even think they cared.  We are in the shape we are now because big business does not care about people.  They care about their bottom lines and the government allows them tax break just to continue doing business.  The best we can do is pray for the best and prepare for the worst.  Stock up now on non-perishables for those lean days which are definitely coming.  If the price of oil continues to rise (and it will) and the scarcity of jobs continue, you just might not be able to drive to the grocery store to buy food you can't afford.  Just saying.
