Posting to the correct Discussion Board
« on: February 28, 2011, 05:27:46 am »
How can you 'tactfully' suggest to people that they need to post under the correct Discussion Board.  When I go to the Support Board, I am looking for Fussion Cash Support, not someones love life.  And I am having a serious problem with not being rude.  Maybe Fusion Cash can put a BOLD reminder about using the correct boards.  Just a suggestion.

Just politely tell them it would be better suited if they would post this kind of topic in Off-Topics.  Simple and not offending.  Thats what I do.  You can do it.

I would let Fc handle that part of the forum.

If someone is going through a hard time and they see the word support. Then they are mostly thinking that maybe if they post there some will give them support on their problems. I love to help others and if they post in a different area, then i will be there to help them out no matter what.

That's a nice way of looking at it,

So yeah, just let FC handle it for most cases.

I kind of agree. As long as the subject isn't misleading. Lots of new people on here probably just making mistakes and don't really want to bother trying to correct them.

There are some here who do this on an almost daily basis, especially within debate and discuss. They've been told yet they still do it, which leads me to believe some of them do it stritcly to get a post count.

I'd just say hey, look where you're posting and tell them that the post should have gone in XYZ as opposed to where they put it.

Well I see a lot of off-topic subjects posted mostly in the support area. Some people may not get it right away that SUPPORT is about getting and giving help with Fusion Cash, not love, relationship, anxiety, hate, and all the other life issues.

There is not much Fusion Cash can do about this any further because every topic has a very clear discription of what is posted and what you can post.

I agree. They like to make it look like they are posting in all areas of the forum not just off-topic/debate & discuss

If you see a post in the wrong forum, you can use the 'report to moderator' link and let us know.  I often move topics to more appropriate subforums, but as other posters have noticed, the tide is endless :)

you can also add the person as a buddy and let them know they place a discussion on the wrong forum.

I think YOU have a control issue here, who are YOU to decide if someone is posting to the wrong board???
