I have zero kids, and don't want any. Too many negatives, little to no positives.

What do you mean too many negatives, little to no positives?? Yea its work - its a whole other full-time job. But the rewards are endless. Its not a logical thing, its an emotional thing. With every accomplishment of theirs you feel more pride than you've ever felt for yourself in your life. With every smile, hug and kiss- you feel a truer love than any one could possible give you. Even with every fit, temper tantrum, and illness - you discover more patience and new strengths within yourself that you may not have even known you had. Being a parent is more rewarding than anything in the world. Besides that - there's the fun of reliving your favorite childhood activities by teaching & sharing them with your kids.

I understand its not for everyone, but please don't put it to be some horrible thing that isn't worth the effort

I have one n she is the greatest little child in the world, just turned one n I hope to have more. The child birth experience is just amazing from pregnancy to delivery.

I agree about the childbirth experience. Its one of those things that you don't think you have the strength for until you've already done it. And you can't help but feel so much stronger and more accomplished when you go through it. How was your experience? Natural or epidural? I've had almost all the ways except c-section. I have a full epidural, partial epidural & fully natural - that one was the hardest but the most rewarding.

I don't have any yet. I want at least two. I have a step-son but he doesn't live with me and my husband so I can't wait until I have some of my own.

For some people it's not.  To each his own.  Everyone lives different lives.  Not everyone in this world was meant to want or have kids or should have them.  It's great you love it but everything ain't for everybody.

I have 3 kids!  2 boys and 1 girl!    I love being a mom and wouldn't take anything in the world for it!

For some people it's not.  To each his own.  Everyone lives different lives.  Not everyone in this world was meant to want or have kids or should have them.  It's great you love it but everything ain't for everybody.

Like I said - I understand that its not for everyone & I agree to each his own & everyone has their own opinions & lives, but don't put out that having kids is this horrible thing. Just cause its not for you , leave it at that. Leave it at the fact that you don't want any. That's fine - i can respect that no problem. But put it down, because I have 3 kids. I would have 4 if it weren't for a miscarriage. And that was the absolute most heart breaking moment I've ever had. Only to be followed by one child born with a birth defect & be a miracle to us. Again to be followed by our third daughter whom we almost lost so many times during the pregnancy - between nearly miscarrying at the beginning to almost being born almost 2 months early & having a very low chance of survival - The scariest time of my life. So, respect those of us who cherish our children & don't say that having kids is such a negative thing. Leave it at you don't want any... please.

I almost had another child, I was two months along, and we lost the baby. I guess God has another small angel in heaven.
