Gas prices
« on: March 06, 2011, 01:03:24 pm »
Why does the media build the hype that then starts this out of control spiral by gas stations to start raising gas prices at a ridiculous rate.Less than 2 months ago gas prices were at $2.87 and out of the sky blue sky they jump to nearly $4.00. People when to we stand together and say were not going to take this anymore!!!!

The unrest in the Middle East is what they blame it on this time.  The sad part is that the truth is so hard to find.  I paid $3.45 yesterday for my gas.

I just read on the internet that some places in remote Alaska the price for gas is up to 10.00 dollars a gallon. Its because the prices of crude oil are skyrocketing that gas prices are going up.

The sad thing is that we have plenty of oil but the government will not allow us to drill. :sad1:

I had an email the other day that suggested that everyone refuse to buy gas from Mobil & Exxon because they're the biggest oil companies and would be forced into a gas war.  I'm not sure that it could be done because it's difficult to tell who you're actually buying gas from at least in this part of the county.  I'm also uncertain that we in the US are an economic force since we've made all those 3rd world countries competitors  :dontknow:

The big oil companies have us by the shirt tails and they know it! We have to have gas for our everydays lives and they don't care if it is causing us to make the choice of buying a gallon of milk for our kids or a gallon of gas to get to the jobs we need to be able to buy the milk!
