It also says that "no man shall know the hour of my coming"
so to try to predict or believing that this is the end is not
advised by the bible. There have been disasters for every generation
that has lived, and as a result, every generation has thought
that the biblical prophecy was unfolding...

I really like "sgluckadoo" answer, and I agree with you 100% of the time.  More time than often a lot of people try to scare everyone about the time is near.  I have never been worry about that because that is when we all can celebrate.  That is when we will get our glory.  I had an ex brother inlaw and he scared my sister to death.  Why do people do that?

There have always been war and only will.

Whether people want to admit the truth or not. If you read the word of God alot of things that were and are forecoming has already happen. I am talking about bilble prophecy. That is why I say the bible is unfolding. Regardless of what has happen. People better wake up. Christ coming is near. You can see it right before your eye. Its not about being afraid(for the Lord has not given us the spirit of Fear but of Love and a sound mind). We should always fear God.

I think those people over there have been fighting one another for hundreds of years and will go on fighting one another until there is only on dogma left.  They will kill off all other ways of life except the winner and the others will be lost to history.

War in the Holy Land? Why would God allow it? I think war takes place in hell...that is where it belongs!

Meh. Since when has there not been fighting in the Middle East? Even before the current three contenders for it (Christians, Jews, Muslims), pagans were bickering, squabbling, and spilling blood over it. (Rome, Persia, Babylon, Assyria, Canaan...)

When God comes, He will come. Never mind when He does.

Actually, I take that back. We should always be on the alert. While the Bible does talk about catastrophic prophecy that predicts the end times, we are also told by the Lord Himself we should be ready for Him always:

Quote from:  Matthew 25:1-13
1.   'Then the kingdom of Heaven will be like this: Ten wedding attendants took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom.
2.   Five of them were foolish and five were sensible:
3.   the foolish ones, though they took their lamps, took no oil with them,
4.   whereas the sensible ones took flasks of oil as well as their lamps.
5.   The bridegroom was late, and they all grew drowsy and fell asleep.
6.   But at midnight there was a cry, "Look! The bridegroom! Go out and meet him."
7.   Then all those wedding attendants woke up and trimmed their lamps,
8.   and the foolish ones said to the sensible ones, "Give us some of your oil: our lamps are going out."
9.   But they replied, "There may not be enough for us and for you; you had better go to those who sell it and buy some for yourselves."
10.   They had gone off to buy it when the bridegroom arrived. Those who were ready went in with him to the wedding hall and the door was closed.
11.   The other attendants arrived later. "Lord, Lord," they said, "open the door for us."
12.   But he replied, "In truth I tell you, I do not know you."
13.   So stay awake, because you do not know either the day or the hour.

In other words, we must always be on our guard. We don't know when He will come. Don't rely on prophecies to tell you when He's coming. Be ready before it even LOOKS like Jesus is coming back! ;)

Yes, I BELIEVE!!!  So many prophecies have come to pass and we are entering (if not in) the end times.  Won't be long before the Lord calls the Church out before the 7 years of tribulation begins.  Is your name written down in the Lord's Book of Reservations?  I pray so.  It's one trip you won't want to miss!!!
Have a wonderful day!

Well, if you are Jewish and you believe in the prophecies of the Rebbe of Lubavitch (the last leader in the Jewish community) then there won't be a war because the Jews suffered already a lot. So peace will come in a peaceful way to the Holy Land, it will be like a miracle but hidden in natural ways. Everyone will acknoledege that there is just One Master of the Universe and idolatry will be gone.

You know I used to be scared of death.  Now that I am getting to know Christ, I am not anymore.  I believe the end will come when God wants it to come and on his terms.  I believe a lot of what is happening is God's wrath, too.
