Offers involving downloading drivers for game websites
« on: March 22, 2011, 09:55:17 am »
I have a questions concerning offers which require you to download software drivers to your hard drive in order to get Approval from FusionCash by playing simple games on that site. I have had to opt out of some of these sites after I downloaded the drivers and began attempting to play one of the sponsor's games because Windows 7 crashed! It gave me a blank screen, was able to recover in Safe Mode and gave me the option to "Start Windows normally", thank God!
I could be wrong, but I surmise that the drivers were either not compatible with Windows 7 or that they were designed for an earlier version like Windows XP or Windows Vista, which in effect is the same thing. I would really like to get Approval for some of these sites, but I don't want to risk crashing my computer. Anyone else have this sort of problem? Any feedback from members or the Administrator would be greatly appreciated. I want to reach my $15 goal for offers each month so I can cash out monthly. And, yes, I know there are surveys daily but I don't get approved for many of these because of my age group so it's going to be a little tougher for me next month. I've completed most of the easier offers. Now, I'm scrambling to find offers where I can get approved and it does seem to be getting a little harder every day. I'm not being negative and plan to work the site even harder from this point on by choosing which sites to work more wisely, etc, but any input would be greatly appreciated. Go FusionCash!  :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

I have been concerned about the same thing.  I love checking out games, but sure don't want to crash my computer.
I have noticed there are some offers that specify you must be using IE 7 or newer version.  I have Windows Vista, and stopped using IE because it locked my pc up and had some very annoying issues. I've tried a couple things that kicked back a message that I was not using a compatible browser ( I currently use Google Chrome)   But, I did log on with IE (I have IE 8) to complete one of the offers. (then it didn't register with the system so I got no credit for it).  Thought about trying IE or Firefox for some of the downloads for the games, although that does not eliminate the issue of the program being on my computer, but if it is a compatibility issue with your browser that crashes your computer maybe you can try using a different browser ..??

I'd love to hear from others that have downloaded the games and tried them.  Also, if the game is not something we want to keep for long term, can it be removed without a lot of hassles???

I don't usually do offers that require you to download anything. To me its not worth the risk.

I want to thank all the members who weighed in on this issue, confirming what I suspected. I clicked on quite a few of these Offers requiring you to download drivers for games, etc, when I first joined up a couple of weeks ago, but after Windows when into safe mode on more than one occasion and some of these downloads were changing the home page of Google Chrome or Internet Explorer on me, I decided to give these offers a wide berth. Sometimes there are numerous changes that happen after trying one of these sites requiring a download and a reboot.  Can the Administrator comment on this issue? Is there anything that can be done by FusionCash to test these drivers on the newer versions of Windows like Windows 7 or Windows XP? I'd like to get credit for working some of these Offers, but I'm not willing to put my brand-new Dell Desktop at risk.  :sad1:

I have Windows Vista, so I run into compatibility issues from time to time anyway...I'd love more info as well.  I have enough money tied up in this computer without putting it at risk with goofy downloads to screw things up...but the earnings from some of the games, offers, etc. would be nice.

Can anyone recommend an offer involving downloading that has approved for them and not caused their computer to get indigestion?  ???

I don't do any links that require downloads or credit card information.  It's just not worth the risk to me for $0.50 or whatever the particular payout is.  I think it's better to be safe than sorry.  I stick with free surveys and videos.

You might try getting into the Daily Tasks under More Money/ Special Offers. The easier ones are the $.16 or $.20 tasks. On the plus side, you can attempt them every 24 hrs, they do credit almost immediately, and the more you do them, the faster you get.

On the down side, they are time-consuming at first and if you make too many mistakes you will get booted out.

They have become one of my staples though: they have pulled me up to that $15 minimum in Offers, enabling me to cash out every month since I joined in mid-March. I prefer the Categorizing jobs myself. I can whip through those in 15 minutes or less now.. Just did two today!

Dont ever download things for an offer. You are asking for trouble.

The consensus for most people seems to be "proceed at your own risk". Thanks to everyone who gave feedback on this!  ;D

I have had the same concern. I figure the money I make isn'tgoing to be enough to buy my me a new computer, so why do it at all?  :icon_rr:
