I know some people think the idea is silly, but the gesture of turning off your lights will not save or restore the natural environment of the earth; but the gesture is a symbol to says, "In my everyday life, I will live to protect and contribute in the wellness of this earth!"

Together, we can stop the degradation of Earth's natural environment. Let us build a future where people live in harmony with nature!

what is this you speak of? I didn't know they were doing a lights out tonight. I have to agree tho, it wont make the world all better :( but it's a good way to say I'm trying. As for me I try and only use one light at a time. Everytime I leave a room all uneccessary power is shut off! :)

I did it before a few years ago.  I didn't realize it was tonight.  At 8:30 I was just getting home from work so I didn't do it.

Mine were off because I was at Wal-Mart.  :P I don't think that counts.

I did not know they were going to turn out all lights last night.  If I had known I would have turned my off.  Was it on the news?  If it was I missed it.  Are they going to do this again?
