how close are you to your mom?

i was just wondering how many people were close to their mom. i thought my mother and myself were close, until she missed my sons first birthday party. funny part is its her first grandchild. horrible. but the same day she didnt come to the party she went out to the bar. she is something, i think maybe if i had some kind of alcohol here maybe she would have came. lol.

Me and my mom are really close. We do have our arguments here and there but its all good.

My mother and I have a wonderful relationship now.  Not so much while I was growing up.  She's one of my best friends.  My heart goes out to those who don't have a close relationship with their parents.

Very close.  She passed away when I barely turned 9 years old. She’s now at a better place now.  I would have known her much better had she lived a little longer in my adult year.

At first when I was a child I was close to my dad I told my dad everything. I thought my mom was my enemy because she always punish me for everything and hit me. I didnt know until one day I did something wrong and I saw my dad talking to my mom about my punishment there I knew my dad was my enemy not my mom. My dad was the one who instigated my mom on my punishment. And I got more close to her when I got married. She is my friend, mother sister you name it she is everything I asked her to forgive me and she did. I even told her about all the bad things I have done. She said she new and laughed

My mum and I were initially never close, but after a heavy fight, we became closer than ever and have been inseperable.

My Mom and I were very close.  I took care of her when she was sick.  When my Father passed away in 1988 I hovered over her like a mother hen to make sure she was going to be ok.  She did fine and went on with her life but I was always there when she needed me.  She passed away in 1999 and I miss her more everyday.  I would give anything just to talk to her one more time.  I know she is Heaven and I will see her someday. What a reunion that will be.

  My mother and I are very close.  She sometimes drives me crazy but I probably drive my son crazy at times too!!  She was always my best friend and we did a lot of things together until she became so weak and frail that she isn't able to go anymore.  Once in a while she will have the energy to go out to the grocery store with me for a little while but over all she is very weak and in a lot of pain. Mom is 80.  I still have my father but he is much worse than mom and unable to get around at all. I love them both very much and it is so very sad to see them so weak and sick.

I am very close to my mom. We have had our ups and downs but I love her no matter what. I dont tend to hold grudges MY mom I only get one. And I learn to live but not forget but all n all I love MY MOMMY.

I'm not close to my mom or my dad. My family is always politely courteous, but emotionally distant. Not the worst way to grow up, but definitely not the best for a child.
