Becoming an Aunt!

My sister is pregnant with her first child, and I am becoming an Aunt for the second time. The first was through my husband's brother. He had a boy, so for the past few months I have gotten used to dealing with a baby boy. When my sister announced her pregnancy, I was hoping for a girl, since I already had the whole nephew thing down already. She kept telling me that she was almost positive it was going to be a boy......then today she went for the ultrasound that would let her know the sex. She played a mean trick on me! She called me up, and first thing she said was "You are going to be disappointed, because it's a boy." I was all like "That's ok, I am still happy and will love him!" And then outta nowhere....she's like "Sike! It's a girl!" I screamed so loud that the neighbors probably though I was being attacked! What a mean thing to do, but I am sooooo excited that I will have a niece and nephew to spoil and love!

Awww congrats ..when i became an aunt my sister had a boy i mean i was ok with it but its alway exciting to have a girl because you get to be a big kid and go crazy on cute outfits and everything. either way im still happy im just still waiting on my niece.. lolz but i wish you and your sister the best

Being an aunt is such a joy!  I have 4 nieces & 4 nephews.  It is so much fun spoiling them and then send them home just like their mothers did to my daughter!!

Congrats! I too am about to be an auntie again. My older sister was devastated when she lost her first child six years ago. Now she is pregnant with twins. so I will be helping out quite a bit. I have three children of my own and two step-kids. So I have plenty of experience but I'm wondering can I really deal with two at the same time.

i'm a little bit jealous, being an aunt sounds awesome! my husband's older brother has 3 kids but i don't exactly feel like an aunt, mainly because the "neices" are only 2 and 3 years younger than i am, but also because since my brother-in-law and his wife divorced we do not see the kids. and my siblings are both younger than me and not only do they not have kids, neither of them are planning on having them at all. thats a good thing because i don't think people should have kids unless they really want them but its kind of sad to think that my 2 kids won't have any close cousins, and that i won't get to be an aunt :/

congradulations. I am jealous, I have one niece, and I have a baby who is 9 months old, I want a daughter cos daughter knows how to care parents. like me, I care of my parents. son will care of his wife when he get married. of course ,some care of his parents just like care of his wife.
