being switched at birth is extremely rare and would only be possible if neither 'parent' was a dna match to the child. also it would be prety hard to fake a proffesional dna test. you don't just walk in to a clinc and say i'm Joe and i'm here to take a dna test you have to show id. so unless he got someone that looked just like him i doubt he had someone else take the test. she states that both 'parents' are hispanic and and the baby is 'white' hhmm perhaps because she slept with a white man.

There is also another disturbing thought, but it does happen. Babies have been known to get switched in the hospital.
If you are absolutely sure there is nobody else in your past but the child's father, then by all means, find out how many other babies were born on the day your child was. You say you and the child's father is Hispanic, but the child is white? Unfortunately, baby's being switched in hospitals happen more than the public is aware.

The fact that he does not want to get tested with you being there....something isn't right, and he may be tricking you when he always wants to be by himself. Sounds like he doesn't want to pay child support. If he did have someone else take the test instead of himself, I don't know how you prove that.

My heart goes out to you. I sense that you are telling the truth and something else is afoot here. I will be praying for you that this gets straightened out. Keep us in the loop hon. I know you could probably raise your child a lot better anyway, but if this is his child, he must step up and take responsibility as the father.

Take care little one, and you are not alone in this.

They can't take your baby from you unless they have a very strong reason. If the children were switched at birth, wouldn't you want your biological child? While I understand how you feel after 2 years, but maybe someone else has your child.

I'm not asking you to reveal your secrets, but something is amiss in this scenario, and the sooner you know for sure, the better off you will be. Take care.

Being switched at birth happens more often than you think. Google it. Also, he could have a brother, cousin or whomever that does look enough like him to go take the test with his ID.

She has repeatedly said she did NOT sleep with anyone else, and she ought to know. It's insensitive to keep insinuating that she did.

Don't drop the case if you feel the father may have gotten someone else to take the test then tell the judge and maybe they can make them do another test together.  I saw on one of those Discovery shows that they said the mother wasn't the mother to her child because of some crazy genetic condition she had.  She knows she gave birth to the child and her mother was even in the room with her but when they did DNA it turned out they couldn't even prove the baby belonged to her.

If you are 1000% sure there was no one else then you need to make sure the test proves it.  Don't let him off the hook.  If he had sex with you and helped create this child then he needs to be held responsible too.

I would take this as a blessing in disguise and be grateful that I didn't have to deal with the father anymore. As sad as it is some people (both male and female) are just not meant to be parents and (although some people may not agree with this) the kids shouldn't have to be exposed to that.

But take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. I have to deal with my 3-year-old asking if his father hates him when he doesn't show up when he is supposed to. Having to tell my son that daddy loves him but is just sick this week (only excuse that I could really come up with...so he's the sickest person ever to live) is only going to work for so long. :( He is one of those people that is too selfish to be a parent and I'm sure that if his family wasn't constantly pressuring him to see my son that he would never come.

I hope that everything works out for you!!

And on a side note about the switched at birth thing, if you feel like it would be better to know then by all means BUT if it was me...my son is the child that I brought home from the hospital and have raised for the last 3 years. I would never want to trade him for another even if he did turn out not to be biologically mine and I'm sure the other family would feel the same way.
