An e-book reader? The e-book is a digital version of a physical book.

My sister-in-law has a Nook, but I've heard rave reviews about Kindle! I'm thinking about it as well.

I have had a Kindle for a little over a year.  I read a lot and I was a little concerned about not being able to hold it like a book but I bought a cover with it and it feels like holding a hard back but probably not as heavy.  I love being able to adjust the size of the print.  Sometimes I would find a regular book with tiny print....my eyes aren't that good so they would really bother me.  Now, if my eyes are tired I just make the print bigger.  Amazon has 100 books on there all the time that are free.....some of them are the old classics if that's your thing.  The rest of the books range from .99 to $14.99 each.  They even have some games on now but I haven't tried any of them.  I have read 130 books on it in the last 14 months.....I guess I don't do much besides read and do my Fusion Cash stuff....lol   Oh, and one other thing, I only have to charge it about once a week.

Nice review and I agree. I bought one of the $129 that are now even cheaper and I load PDF reports about how to make more money online so I can read them whenever I need to wait for someone, like the doctor. I'm just about ready to publish my own ebook and put it on Amazon for Kindle downloads.

Thanks for the comments Old Buddy....I jumped the gun on mine.  I should have waited another 4 or 5 months to buy, I paid about $260 and mine only holds about 1500 books.  Now I think they hold several thousand and as you say....they don't cost nearly as much.  Be sure to let us know when your e book is on Amazon ready for download.

I have also been thinking about a Kindle. :)

My main concern was that if something happened to it then I would lose all of my books but I have been assured by people that have them that everything that I bought is stored on Amazon's website and I can just redownload them if something happens to my Kindle. The prices have gotten a lot better recently and I have heard great things about them. What makes the Nook appealing is that you can "loan" your friends a book for 7 days so that you can read things that you haven't bought. But the Kindle looks like it would be better for me since I shop so much at Amazon anyway and doing some things on-line that get me giftcards for there. :)

I bought a Kindle almost 2 years ago and I simply love it.  Now I never  have to go out to buy a book, magazine, or newspaper etc.  I can do it all in seconds while sitting at home relaxing.

The problem with e-books is that you never actually "own" them. Can you resell it? No. Then you're just renting them. I've very wary about these until they make e-books that I can keep on my hard drive and own.

I heard good reviews about Kindle from my aunt and cousin. Not really into it, I'd still rather read a book.

You can not only buy resell rights to ebooks, but private label rights so you can edit them and sell them as your own work.
