Do Step-Fathers Count?

I'm asking that question because I have 5 grown Step children that I helped their Mother raise from when they were ages 5, 9,11,12,13 and today being Fathers Day not one of them got in touch with me to wish me a Happy Fathers Day. I been thinking maybe Step-Fathers don't Count on Fathers Day! Or maybe I made a mistake somewhere in their life!

Any man that helps to raise a child counts!  Happy belated Father's Day to you!  I am sure they will remember one day who was there for them when their children treat them the same way.

Yes they do count, sometime they are better than the real ones. Happy late Fathers Day.

Of course Step fathers/mothers count.  Sometimes they can be the make or break for a child that's come from a broken home. 
Honestly, I'm not so sure it's these holidays themselves that actually count.   For a lot of people I know, the only holidays that really mean anything or are worth celebrating are xmas, thanksgiving and easter.   Memorial day and the forth of july get there props for a lot of others just because it's a day off work.

I love the saying.... "Any man can be a father but it takes a special man to be a DAD  I am sorry that your Step Children did not contact you but I know a lot of people who didn't even contact their real fathers.

Yes they do count, mine was just controlling as ever, and I am glad my mom finally got fed up and kicked him to the curb.

I think the mom should of pointed out this day and told them don't forget your step dad ! If they are grown and out of the house, they should at least call and wished you a good day.

I would not ONLY wish you a Father's Day.... I'd give you a Big HUG !! You are special cause you took care of these children that aren't even yours.

Step fathers can indeed count.  there must be some reason why none of 5 stepchildren contacted you. How are your relationships otherwise?
