Please say a little prayer
« on: August 13, 2011, 05:06:03 am »
My boyfriend found out through blood tests that he is Anemic.  He is still in the hospital after undergoing a blood transfusion of 3 pints and still feels bad.  They are still running tests to see whats the matter with him.  I pray it is not cancer.

We were in a car accident in April and I am hoping all it is is internal bleeding.  I am going to the hospital today to spend the day with him.  wish i could be there with him at all times but they wont let me.

Thanks for all your prayers in advance.   :angel12:

I am sorry to hear this. I have said a prayer for him. I believe faith will lead you in prayer. I was hit by a car in april of 2009. They didn't think I would live, but I made it, I had broken bones, ribs, they didn't think I would walk again, but I made it. I know Jesus was holding my hand after the car hit me. I know He was with me. I also know I received alot of prayers. God answers prayers. Keep on praying, pray without ceasing and know that our Lord is with him, holding his hand.

I am praying for your boyfriend.  I'm sorry to hear about his problems since the accident, but he sounds like a lucky guy to have you.

It's unlikely that it's cancer.

That's weird that you hope "all it is is internal bleeding".  Um, he'd be dead a long time ago if that were the case.

And prayer doesn't accomplish anything.  Put your trust in medical science and trained professionals instead.  They deserve the only credit.

Well I don't think it is internal bleeding from the accident in April or he would not of lasted this long.  I don't know about cancer but I do believe that other signs would of showed up first.  My aunt is anemic and that is where you blood doesn't have enough red blood cells that can be took care of with iron supplementss, My aunt took for  a while and now she does't need them. That alone will make you weak give him sometime and see how the tests turn out what ever you do don't panic especially around him because you want him to have no anxiety I will be thinking of you guys and hope he gets better. May God Watch over you! :angel11:

Anemia can also be cause by excessive vomiting.  Sorry, gross, but it is true.  Like if he recently had the flu.  Also other things like liver failing to destroy the older red blood cells properly or the bones marrow just not making the right amount.  Many reasons are possible besides cancer.  In fact, sometimes they never do find the cause and it clears itself up on its own.  You are in my prayers and I hope they find the cause soon to put your mind at ease.
