Awaiting the 2011 Autumn is a good feeling

To help welcome every autumn I borrow the dvd movie "Indian Summer" from the public library. Collecting multi-colored leaves is another project I look forward to in the fall season.

Autumn has always been my favorite time of the year. The sky always seems the bluest.We have had a very hot summer and am ready for cooler days.And in the evening sitting outside by the fire pit..Going to  pumpkin patches and just being able to be outside without sweating

I love the fall season with the crisp cool weather, the changing colors of leaves, and the putting out of pumpkins and scarecrows, etc.  Best of all, I start breathing better with my asthma!  

Our small town always has a contest between all of the local businesses.  They make "gourd" people (with the head being a gourd) and decorate them and show them sitting outside the stores, or standing.  Sometimes they'll have one that looks like a fireman or phone man climbing the pole to rescue a "kitten."  Sometimes it looks like a group of people gathered together "talking."  It's always fun to walk down Main Street looking at all of them.

I like autumn more as I get older.  It used to always depress me because it meant winter was just around the corner but since I retired and no longer have to drive to work, I'm finding it's really quite nice.

even the smells of fall!

I love autumn too.  I just wish I didn't come with shorter days.  The older I get the less I like to drive at night, especially on rural roads.  It isn't so bad downtown with the city lights.

Autumn is my favorite season by far.  Thanksgiving is my favorite Holiday as I get to see all of my extended family, watch football, and eat great food.  Legends of the Fall and Halloween both come to mind for this season and both are killer movies(well, at least one is).

i hate fall, it's so depressing knowing summer is over, it's getting colder, and soon will be winter and unbearably cold. and it comes and goes faster and faster every year  the only good thing about it is it's football season and i loooove football

I live in Florida, so it means that the days will be a little cooler....not 90's.
