what truly makes you happy?

I just have had some dark months i have to say that i am very blessed i have good health and should be greatful for that but am not happy i dont feel connected to any of my family and just feel like i am floating through life i just feel alone in this world and nobody understands me i just am not motivated to do anything anymore and am just wondering what makes you guys happy i think for me its feeling a sense of belonging to something i want to feel connected to my family

I've gone through some dark times in my life too. And I'm somewhat of a loner in my own way, but even so want to be connected to family and friends some. But it's not always easy for me to express my feelings because I feel a little shy about reaching out to others. And also I'll admit, it's just easier doing my own thing sometimes, and I get a little carried away doing just that. I'm not sure what your situation is, but if you're feeling disconnected to family and think more of a connection would help you, try opening up to one of them about it, whoever you feel most comfortable talking to about this. Or maybe break the ice so to speak by asking this person out to see a movie, concert, what have you first. I've learned that as busy as people can be sometime, if you want something, then often you have to take the first step and make plans. Best of luck to you.

What makes me happy is that my mom is happy. I hate seeing her depressed and upset because she can't work anymore and no one believes her or they do but don't think it is bad enough.  I like it when all in the family gets a long and we can all spend time together.  I will be even happier when I marry the special someone.  When I think I found them they break up or somthing.  So that is what I am looking for to be happy.  I want my own family and children which I know will make my mom happy because she loves children and I am the only one she has to give her grandchildren.

I was blessed before, cos I can do what I want, but now, I can't, I always feels that something control me, in fact, somebody controls me, my partner is so strict with me, he asked me not to do this, not to do that, I am not ability to do, so...I was sick, I thought I got serious depression, I talked to the doctor, but it is like that the doctor didn't take it serious thing. I saw that everybody just try their best to gain money. sigh. me, I seek happiess and free. not money!

I just feel alone a lot my dad and stepmom and brother and sister moved from living 5 minutes away (in chicago) from me and my mom and other sister 7 years ago and now i am 20 and my other sister moved to texas so it is just me and my mom here and i am in school and work here but i just go through life very depressed and i thought when i was younger my dad would move back and now i realize hes not, he has a huge house there a lake house a boat and whenever they buy something for the house or do construction or whatever its just a reminder how they are making there life more permanent there its just i am at the age most people are going off on there own away from there family but now is the time i need my family more then ever i just feel so alone i always wanted a family where i lived close and got to see them all the time and its just really hard being away from them and especially when they do not want to come back

EXACTLY MONEY DOES NOT MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY !!! I dont know why people dont see that i mean money makes you more comfortable and you do need money but seriously my dad having all this money and always being out of my life going on buisness trips and moving to texas for a better job to make more money it just makes me really mad i would rather live in a small apartment with all my family then have a huge house but away from everbody i have realized that i want to feel close to people and connected but why does nobody else feel that way they just care about making money but never have time to spend with there kids/siblings/parents/friends ect. I just dont get IT!!!

Me and my wife do something together on the weekends. Friday night is beer n pizza night for us. A nice way to relax together

i feel the same way alot. do belive family is waht makes us happy. Maybe you should go visit them makes me feel better.. hope this helped.
