Well I am not in Virginia but we did feel some of it in Connecticut.  I was at my uncles house and didn't feel anything.  But my son and husband was at home and they did feel it.  So I can say that it is interesting that in some places you can feel it and in other places you can.  But I am glad that it didn't do that much damage.

I live in Louisa County, VA, the epicenter of today's earthquake.  It was pretty scary for us, not being used to earthquakes.  Actually, earthquakes aren't anything new in this area - I've felt a few in my lifetime, but not to this extent.  Tomorrow will be spent cleaning up broken glass, pictures, vases, etc.  We are just thankful it was no worse,  and with no serious injuries.

I live in Lynchburg, Va and we had stuff fall of the shelf in the pantry and the VA center Streets from us has column damage.  My cat totally freaked and for the next few hours she walked low to the ground.  I thought I moved out of Earthquake, Tornado and Snow areas.  Guess I was wrong.

I live in North Royalton, Ohio (about 20 miles south of Cleveland).  I didn't feel a thing, but my fiance called from his work in Cleveland and said the high rise he was in shook quite a bit.  They're filming The Avengers movie in Cleveland right now, so a lot of people thought the shaking was from a special effects explosion at first.

I live in Greenup, KY and felt the earthquake yesterday!  It was strange!  I have always been afraid of going to CA because of earthquakes.  Guess I can put that fear away now.
Have a wonderful day!

My daughter who was born and raised in California just moved to Virginia. Her coworkers thought it was a bomb and when she told them "It's just an earthquake" they all ran to the stairs to exit. She stayed behind and got under her large desk. Another coworker saw her and joined her under the desk.
The coworker said that since my daughter is from Cali she probably knows what to do!

We had thinks knocked off shelves in western NC. I didn't feel it as I was driving at the time but found the stuff knocked off when I got home.

Didn't feel anything is Mass. Maybe it was because I was on a construction site for most of the day.

Woke up early today - by latest aftershock. CNN says we have had 20 so far, with 2 sizeable ones, one 4.5 and one 3.? (that was the one this morning). As my best friend (besides my husband and daughter) said, we were just not made for all this!!  (Please forgive me for this - there are no such words as shooked, shooken, woken, or wokened).

Didn't feel anything from it, but the courthouse here in Pikeville, KY now has cracks all in the building and it cracked the foundation.

Two Louisa county schools were destroyed.  They were not leveled, but the damages were so bad the schools could not be repaired.  Several hundred elementary school children in the county   The kids are attending school in about 30 trailers in a soccer field this year.

we were sitting in the hospital, while my step-daughter was giving birth...right in the middle of the earthquake....I was sitting in a chair leaning on a wall that moved enough I thought someone was trying to pull the chair out from under me...no one wanted to believe me when I said it had to have been an earthquake.
