:( Your should never go to bed mad at your spouse because you not get the chance to tell them your are sorry. Because you may not wake up the next day.

i totally agree with that... my experience was not exactly how you stated it, but similar. most of us dont look at life that way unless it happens to us. just like they say " you will learn the hard way".

I have to agree with you. It also makes falling asleep easier (at least for me). We don't fight much anyway.

I think my spouse believes that as well because I can be arguing all day....the minute we in bed......it's I love you and all that extra stuff! Not mad at all! Love it

Besides, I don't like missing sleep because I am angry.

Always tell them just how much you love them every-night before you go to bed. I tell mine every-night.

well unless it's something serious, which it rarely is, I feel better in the morning.  Of course nothing got resolved but whatever.

Sorry, but this is a marriage myth.  Better to go to bed angry and therefore keep the fight as short as possible.  You can't always find resolution on the same day.

The whole purpose of the saying is in case something happens before you or your spouse awakes. You would regret not resolving a issue before going to bed if something had happened!
