status: DENIED & money deducted
« on: September 03, 2011, 03:48:56 pm »
I noticed my total was lower than it was this morning. An offer that was previously accepted is all of a sudden denied. The offer is a referral bonus. I don't know why it is all of a sudden denying this one when it was accepted before. I have a couple other referrals that are accepted, and they have not changed. Is it because my friend signed up when she was at my house? She was on her laptop.

Doesn't matter if she was on her laptop, she was using YOUR Internet connection...and therein lies the problem.  Have her sign up at her own house.

She is able to log on to her account from her house. She did her dailies at home and the status is still denied. Do you know if this means that in order to for it to be accepted she would have to have registered from her house? I know that she can't make another account because that's against the rules.

I would think if a person is using their own computer that it should credit regardless of the network. What if two people are using the same public network such as the libraries open wireless. Why should it matter the ip address is not the same and usually that is what traces offers back to you your ip address. You really need to dispute this issue.

Yes, she needs to only register for, and use, FusionCash from HER own house.  This is one of the top rules of GPT sites.  You can't have people signing up/logging on to the site at your house because then you share the same IP address.

Sounds like the original account she signed up for on her laptop was denied.  Have her shoot the admin a ticket asking to delete the first account, and then have her register again at her house.

It doesn't matter that she was using her own laptop...accounts are linked to IPs on these money making sites.  And to use a laptop outside of one's own home, you have to connect to someone else's network, which will result in having the same IP.

And you definitely DON'T want to use a public connection like a library...that will get your account flagged for cheating right there, because it'll look like you're using a proxy.

I've been a top member of GPT sites for years...I know what I'm talking about.   :P

Sounds like you may need to put to use the support tickets.  Good Luck.

GPT sites are basiclly work-at-home permanent type, kind of static 'jobs' so things aren't setup for portability, hence the rules.

However, I am curious about this:

What if someone's ISP provider issues dynamic IPs to a customer (for reasons of having a particular ISP plan, etc), meaning the household in question is assigned a different IP address routinely. Or for instance, what if the router hangs up or freezes and rebooting the router to get it back up and running would also cause the IP address to be renewed?

I would think if they can track someone's acount by their IP address information they should be able to reliably detect the account's geographic location, i.e., longitude, latitude.

But I haven't been in the GPT industry long enough to know this for sure or how their system operates.

Yeah they will go by the IP address so it will look like you are just creating a new account from your home and only 1 account per household is allowed.

Dynamic IPs and changed IPs / ISPs due to travel or a move are all normal events that are not a problem for us.  The main issue is when we have multiple offer credits going to the same IP address.  That's a big red flag for our advertisers and so we are obligated to try to prevent it.
