Favoite mode to travel on Vacation

One of the News stories today was about a lady who sold her home and bought an RV to travel around the United States.  So what is your favorite mode of transportation while you are on vacation?  Mine is by train.

I love to fly. I wanted to be a pilot  my entire life and i just love the takeoff and the landing.

Mine is Airplane. I just love being on task, and doesn't like too many waits on traveling time, so every now and then I ordered a ticket whenever I feel like taking vacations.

Yea agreed completely i hate having to wait long amounts of time to get where I need to go.

I normally drive my car! Can't get the wife on a plane since 9/11, so don't have too much of a choice on Vacations. They have to be within 500 miles from home. I've only flown once since 9/11/01 and that was for a cruise out of Miami, florida in 2005 and I live in northern VA., she was a reck the whole time on the plane.

I love taking the train. It's a lot better than driving, and it's more comfortable than flying.

I would either fly or drive a car depending on the destination in question. I would never do a bus ever again. Too long.

Cruise ship!  Definitely on a cruise ship!   

For regular travel - I love to drive, so by car is always great, and allows me to take detours to see interesting sights along the way.

Flying is totally awesome.

Not a big bus fan.

Never taken a train - would like to try that sometime to form an opinion.

I don't care any way that gets me there depending on the distance.  I've always dreamed about getting an RV and traveling across the country.  Several years ago for one vacation we rented a 19 foot camper van and drove from LA to San Fransisco, Yosemite to Vegas and back.  I had a great time.  The camper van was awesome had a bed, shower and stove.  It was perfect because we didn't have to get hotel rooms.  It was a little over $50 a day to rent (that was before gas prices were sky high the last few years).

I'd have to say airplane, because it's the quickest, but I would love to take a train one day... not have to worry about keeping my eyes on the road!
