I am not quite sure what you mean.  If something doesn't seem worth it to you then don't purchase it.  A rip off is something you are forced to buy (or absolutely have no other choice but to buy it, but often times there is a choice it is just less desirable than the price) that is priced beyond what is reasonable, buying something you want cannot be considered a rip off if you are willing to pay that much for it.  Such a case would be considered properly priced.

I agree with Abrupt.  And how can "people" be ripoffs?

Hopefully, the OP didn't intend to imply that they bought an over-valued person ... because that wouldn't be right.

Lol.  I hadn't even thought of the question in that way.  That made me imagine some of the back room conversations of agencies who 'bought' an elected official referring to the purchase as a rip off.

if you're talking about the pricing of things...basically, things are being charged so much for because we as people cant seem to get it in our heads that we can do without them..so we're willing to keep paying the higher prices   :dontknow:

Yeah, I got ripped off on the last person I bought as well.  Can buy good people at a decent price these days.

Since I've never "bought" a politician, (or any other person), before, I can only speculate that those who have might feel gyped if the crooked politician doesn't stay bought.

No return policy in place, huh?

Warranty......none, I'm guessing?

Probably limited anyway, (and an extended warranty is likely too expensive).  Let the buyer beware!

Because people are trying to make money or more money, that is why everything is so much money.

I'm guessing that the underlying concern here is profit margin.  Consider this; would you rather sell 10,000 units of item x for $1.00 or, bump the retail price up to $10.00 per but, only sell 100 units?
