I think you should at least get some credit for your time you spent on the survey. Time is money.
I agree with that time is money, and that's a lot of time invested with no profitable results.

As with all surveys, (and roulette wheels), participation is optional.

One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

Yes it is a dirty trick I've picked up on early in doing surveys.  Just like everything else in life there are good and bad.  Those are the bad.  I was told a long time ago to never ever download anything through a survey.  Anything that takes 30 minutes of my time had better be worth it.

I only attempt surveys once a week for that reason. I was getting aggravated and that wasn't a productive way to spend my time.

About every day that I attempt a survey. It tends to sway me not to even try, but I look at it as if this is my job that I go to work to do and if I make a buck or a penny it helps me gain a little more than I had before.

After a half hour I would be upset too, but most of them let you know if you qualify before an half hour

I'm not an experienced enough survey taker to predict ahead of time which surveys have the lonnnnnnngggg qualifying questions.  In fact, several times I have been thrilled with the feeling of acceptance, and going, "Finally, I'm getting to take a survey," when I get the downer that I didn't qualify after all.  When I have been working on questions for thirty minutes and they are all about the subject of the survey, I always assume that I have qualified, but that's not always the case.  I just am grateful when I get to the end of the questions and it says I have completed the survey!  It's a good feeling when that happens!

Yeah it is. But after doing so many, you can start to tell when you are still going through pre-qualifications or when you have actually gotten to the actual survey. Even though sometime you can get to the actual survey and still get turned down. For me, sometimes I have really bad luck with them and then there are those days when it's just great. I have gotten 2-3 done a few times in less than hour. FC Surveys seem to be working better for me lately and I've been able to qualify faster and do a survey or two rather quickly. I used to never qualify for any or maybe once in a blue moon, but they are really starting to add up.

That's good advice. Since joining, I ignored it and continued with my post because I was afraid that I'd lose what I wrote. One time, however, I copied my message so that I could paste it after I saw the new review.

This only happens when you submit contradicting answers. Which means even though you might have not tried it, you submitted two answers that were not the same. Ex.
Question.. How many times per week do you drink beer
Answer #1 5-6 times
Answer #2 3-4 times

or...
Question... How many times a week do you drink beer
Answer... 3-4 times
Question... How many times do you consume alcoholic beverages in a week
Answer...2

These answers contradict each other which makes your survey invalid. They ask the same question twice (usually many questions apart) sometimes for many reasons which include to make sure your answers are exactly the same otherwise they can't use the results, or to make sure you are paying close attention to every question.

Well I have done surveys that take longer than expected to qualify for and then find out that I did not qualify for it. The most time that I spent on a survey and did not qualify for was about 15 minutes. Now I have taken a survey and finished it that may have taken about 30 minutes and did not receive payment for it.
