I like to rake but I usually let the lawn mower do the work. If its the leaves under a nut tree, I will rake so that we can gather the nuts.

Typical boyfriend answer!  Great for mulch if you are gardening but the leaves will kill your grass if left in great big piles because they lock out the sun, oxygen and rain that a lawn needs to grow.  I usually cut the lawn to scoop up all of the leaves but my lawn mower broke yesterday so I ended up raking the lawn for about three hours.  I am going to hire one of the local neighborhood kids, at the end of November to cut our lawn so that I don't have dead leaves choking my lawn.

I don't like to rake leaves. This is the first house that I have every lived in, so this is the first time that I have ever had to rake leaves. Before, i lived in an apartment and the landlord raked the leaves.

I'm lucky since I live in an apartment complex and other people rake my leaves for me! I'm so lucky!

I can't rake leaves...I live in a second floor apartment! My maintanence crew takes care of it for me. But when I was a kid, my dad used to rake the leaves up, and then he had me put them into one of those brown recyclable bags, and it was kind of fun cause I would pick them up in my arms, and hold them real close to my chest and then just let them fall into the bag.

No...I do not rake leaves. I am so glad someone else handles all my yard work, but if I did not have anyone to do that type of stuff, I would not mind doing it myself though.

Not usually. We live in the country, they do make good mulch.

one time, after the trees are completely stripped, then we rake them into the vegetable garden area and spray them down with water to speed up the decomposing.  great mulch and our garden spot has the blackest dirt i've ever seen.

don't have too many trees in my yard so I just run lawn mower over them and chop them up.
