Hi pirewolf, try doing a system restore. Go to start menu pull down & click on Run, select System Restore and try to restore it to a time when that was not happening. Don't worry you will be guided on how to do it; just watch the prompts. I hope this helps you:-)

I did not start fusion cash until yesterday, so there has not really been a time when it was not happening. So should I just uninstall it?

***Hi - I just wrote my 1st blog on this. Try uploading something called "Microsoft Security Essentials" off a goofle searchmake sure definitions are up to date(all present malware/adware problems) and do a scan from the template(easy to use) and each problem encountered during scan will ask for you immediate handling. Most seve or dangerous problems are removed.Only moderate problems are flagged and isolated while minor ones are ok! Being minor means that still not determined if a danger yet but 99% are just new to the definiton library(list of all known pc problems to date)!

Hope this helps and ask me if further problems of maybe send you in right direction. I'm pc tech(schooled) but newbie and working on the railroad(lumberyard) - sounds like a song!

definitely use malwarebytes.  its free and and can be a life saver! even if you dont think you've done anything to get malware, its helpful to run maybe once or twice a week.  you'd be amazed at what it can catch that you have no clue would be on there!

Are you sure it is malware that is causing the problem and not your security program?

If your security program senses that a site is suspicious, it will block the site from accessing your PC.

If your security program is doing this for every offer you try to access (including the daily click), then your security may be too tight. Or you may have pop-up blockers up somewhere.

If you truly have malware on your PC, then you want to remove it.  Microsoft Security Essentials is a free antivirus program, but to use it, you need to install it (and uninstall your current Security program.)

There are several stand alone Anti-spy/malware programs that you can run along side your regular anti-virus programs.  Malwarebytes was recommended to me by Staples and several people in various forums I use.  The biggest problem with removing malware is that if they are deeply imbedded in your operating system, removing them can remove parts of your operating system as well.

So before you remove any malware, make sure that you have backed up your files and have a restore feature (or backup disc) for your operating system.  I didn't and it was expensive and time consuming to bring my PC back to life.

I just downloaded Avast (free anti-virus/malware program) to replace Norton.  So far so good.  It does keep notifing me of sites that it has blocked because of suspected malware.  So it's catching some; hopefully all - but only time will tell.  I plan to download Malwarebytes on this PC too, and run it weekly to make sure the PC is clean.

Hi [ We had a computer(older Dell) that had the same problem. In our case -the wrong websites we being visited and noted for pop-ups)noted for viruses etc...). Firefox can be easily downloaded(free) and instated as your homepage website viewer. This replaces Internet Explorer or whatever you have but uses random #'ed ports for allocations so computer attacks are seldom/not at all. The only basic problem with it is that your video player permissions aren't allowed anymore. I solved problem by remembering that 1st real video  on computers were games so tried to play a game and an instant install window popped up stating that installing it would allow the program to be executed!
***I wrote that malware fix with Microsoft Secuirty Enterprise and was bashed by a girl. Norten wasn't even on my pc anymore when I changed over but . But, as a check when installing on another computer I ran both (different times!!![ and found Norten didn't pick up errors where MSE did. Her findings weren't the same as mine and maybe she should take to my school then -lol,. Microsoft and Cisco might want to hire then!!!

                       Hope this may help!  Steveb][/b]

I agree that Microsoft Security Essentials is a free and effective product. It does not interfere with FC activities at all. Go to your Windows Update program and search for it. You should be able find it easily. It will get rid of malware and adware. Good Luck!

I won't reitterate what everyone else has said as they are all valid responses. I am a computer tech and specialize in virus removal. So in short, I will just add to the conversation...

1.) Add FC to your trusted sites in the "internet options > security tab > trusted sites" area.

2.) Download "Hijack This" and run a scan. Send me an email with the entire list. (Hijack This is a light weight, powerfull scanner than reports basically EVERYTHING running on your system.

This of course is optional... Option 1 should be done reguardless of what you chose to do however.

Happy earnings,
Donny
